UK Storage and Cabins Ltd
Container and portable building specialists based in Manchester β newly established, built on decades of hands-on experience.

Our Story
UK Storage and Cabins Ltd has been trading for under a year β but we're far from new to the trade. The business was set up to bring together an experienced team and offer high-quality, competitively priced containers and portable buildings with honest, transparent service.
Based in Manchester, we're perfectly positioned to receive new containers directly from manufacturers and distribute them nationwide at competitive prices.
Our conversion and carpentry team is led by Steve, who has over 10 years' experience converting and installing garden rooms and portable cabins. Ollie brings over 8 years in containers, self storage and freight. Together the team handles everything from a single 10ft storage container for a homeowner to bespoke conversions and full site setups.
Our in-house workshop allows us to convert and customise units to exact specifications. Whether you need a secure storage container, a fully fitted office, or a bespoke conversion, we handle everything from fabrication to delivery.
Why UK Storage And Cabins Ltd Uses Bonded Warehouses
At UK Storage And Cabins Ltd, we are committed to providing high-quality storage containers, offices, garden rooms, workshops, welfare units, and bespoke container conversions at competitive prices. One of the ways we achieve this is by operating through bonded warehouse facilities.
Many customers have heard the term "bonded warehouse" but may not fully understand what it means or how it benefits them. In simple terms, a bonded warehouse allows imported goods to be stored securely before customs duties and VAT are paid. This creates significant advantages for both our business and our customers.
What Is a Bonded Warehouse?
A bonded warehouse is a secure storage facility authorised by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). Goods can be imported and stored within the facility without immediately paying import duties or VAT. These charges are only paid when the goods leave the bonded warehouse and enter the UK market for sale or delivery.
Benefits for Our Customers
Lower Operating Costs
By using bonded warehouse facilities, we can manage our stock more efficiently and avoid paying large amounts of duty and VAT on inventory sitting in storage. This improves cash flow and helps us keep our operating costs lower. The result is more competitive pricing for our customers.
Greater Product Availability
Bonded warehousing allows us to hold a larger range of containers and modular units in stock, including:
- Storage Containers
- Shipping Containers
- Site Offices
- Anti-Vandal Cabins
- Garden Rooms
- Workshops
- Welfare Units
- Custom Container Conversions
This means faster lead times and improved product availability.
Faster Delivery Times
Because stock is already stored within the UK and ready for preparation, customers do not need to wait for overseas manufacturing and shipping delays. Many of our standard units can be prepared and delivered within days rather than months.
Improved Quality Control
Units stored in our bonded facilities undergo inspection, preparation, maintenance, and conversion work before dispatch. This allows our team to:
- Inspect incoming stock
- Carry out modifications
- Complete electrical installations
- Apply coatings and finishes
- Perform quality checks
Every unit is checked before delivery to ensure it meets our standards.
Better Stock Management
Bonded warehouses enable us to maintain a larger inventory of both standard and bespoke units throughout the year. This allows us to respond quickly to customer requirements and seasonal demand without compromising on availability.
Increased Security
Bonded warehouse facilities are highly secure and monitored environments designed to protect valuable inventory. Customers can have confidence that their units are stored safely before delivery.
Supporting Sustainable Business Practices
By holding stock centrally and carrying out conversions within the UK, we can reduce unnecessary transportation and streamline our logistics processes. This improves efficiency and helps minimise delays throughout the supply chain.
Our Commitment to Customers
Using bonded warehouse facilities is part of our commitment to delivering quality products, competitive pricing, and reliable service. It allows us to maintain stock availability, reduce lead times, improve quality control, and pass operational savings directly to our customers.
Whether you are purchasing a storage container, office cabin, garden room, workshop, or a fully bespoke container conversion, our bonded warehouse network helps ensure your unit is prepared efficiently and delivered as quickly as possible.
